Detailed Itinerary


Day  1 - Airport / Colombo

Arrival and transfer to a  boutique hotel in Colombo.
Colombo is a fascinating city not only for a comfortable blend of east & west, but also a cosy mixture of past & present. It is the commercial hub of the country & is only 34 Km from the airport. Places of interest are the Galle Face Green, the Fort, Pettah, Town Hall, Independence Memorial Hall etc
Dinner and over night in Colombo.


Day  2 - Colombo / Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy.Visit the Kandy Temple and in the evening you will observe a traditional Cultural dance.

Kandy City

Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, which fell to the British in 1815. This hill capital is situated in a valley 1600 feet above sea level, surrounded by mountains & virtually encircled by the scenic Mahaweli river; the longest in Sri Lanka. Due to it’s Its cultural and religious significance UNESCO designated the Sacred City of Kandy as a World Heritage Site in 1988.

Dalada Maligawa

The Sacred Tooth Relic (Dâlada) of the Buddha is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists. Its present house, the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Dâlada Mâligâwa) in Kandy, Sri Lanka (Ceylon) is considered the foremost sacred place of worship in the Buddhist world. Built in the Sinhalese architectural style in the 16th century, the temple originally was within the king’s palace complex, because it was a symbol of royal authority. Today, the temple is controlled by layman, the Diyawadne, elected by the high priests of the Malwatte and Asgiriya monasteries in Kandy.

Day  3- Kandy

After breakfast leave to visit the Peradeniys botanical gardens followed with a city tour of Kandy.
“The Royal Botanic Gardens Peradeniya is well known for its large variety of plant life. The great lawns highlight huge tropical trees and a variety at bamboo can be found in one place. The best know attraction of the garden is the orchid House. The area, nearly 150 acres in extent, is beautifully undulated, its average elevation above sea-level being about 1,540 feet.
The Royal Botanic Gardens at Peradeniya were established in 1821”

Day  4 - Kandy / Dick Oya

After breakfast leave for Dick Oya. You will enjoy the beautiful sentries of the mountains.

Day  5 - Dick Oya

A day at your leisure.You can choose to have a walk around the tea estates or stay in the bungalow and relax.

Day  6 - Dick Oya / Bandarawela

Leave Dick Oya after breakfast to Bandawela. Visit Dova temple and rest of the day at your leisure.
“Located on the main highway between Badulla and Bandarawela about 42 km from Belihuloya, the Dowa Rock Temple has murals and inscriptions dating back to the 1st century BC.  The colossal unfinished rock-cut standing Buddha figure (8m high) carved on the cliff face is one of its main attractions”
Dinner & over night stay Bandarawela.


Day  7 - Bandarawela

After breakfast leave to visit the famous “Bogoda wooden bridge”
After which you have the option to walk around Bandawela City.
“The 16th century Bogoda bridge is the only Kandyan period roofed wooden bridge left in Sri Lanka. Located on a detour of the Badulla - ¬Bandarawela road approximately 13 km. from Badulla, this graceful bridge spans the rocky Gallanda Oya and is constructed entirely of wood. The gabled shingle roof is supported on 11 pairs of elegantly carved pillars and a railing of banisters and had been painted with vermilion, turquoise and ochre natural lacquer. The Bogoda Raja Maha Vihare rock temple near by, has pre-Christian era inscriptions and old murals and images”.

Day  8 - Bandarawela / Haputhale

After breakfast leave to Haputhale. Visit the St benadicts Monastry and Dambaythanne Tea Factory.
“Adisham Bungalow, a 19th century British period building, was modelled on Leeds Castle in Kent, England.  It was the country house of Sir Thomas Villiers, a distinguished British resident in Sri Lanka in the early 20th century.  It is now a Benedictine retreat, adjoining the Thangamale Bird Sanctuary.  The Bungalow, 3km away from Haputale.”

Dinner and over night stay at Haputhale.


Day  9 - Haputhale /Bentota

After breakfast, leave for Bentota . Leisure at your Villa
Dinner and over night at Bentota.


Day  10 - Bentota / Airport

Leave to the airport on time for your departure.
